Ron Egbert, a volunteer at Daybreak Elementary, recently passed away.  Egbert was not just any volunteer; rather his dedication remained with him to the very end.

He volunteered for students in resource and the first grade.  He was dedicated and positive, always commenting on the joy he received from working with the students at Daybreak.  Egbert was a strong supporter of the Sub-for-Santa program and always came through by purchasing anything that was left on the list.

One of his final wishes was to make sure Daybreak’s first-grade students received one last gift he had purchased for them, some school supplies.  His wife proudly delivered the supplies the day after his passing.  In honor of Egbert, Daybreak students created cards to be presented to his family. ★
