Midas Creek Donates to Food Bank
Students at Midas Creek Elementary collected more than 70 cases of food for the Utah Food Bank. ★
Holiday Concert Features Bear Cub Choir
Jordan Hills Elementary Bear Cub Choir recently performed its annual holiday concert. Eighty students practiced every Wednesday morning before school then showcased their talents for more than 500
parents and guests. The choir also performed at Macey’s grocery store during the holiday season.
The students are under the direction of music specialist Wendy Pearson and accompanied by sixth-grade student Kaylee Sandburg. ★
Oquirrh Hills Breaks Sub-for-Santa Record
The Oquirrh Hills Middle Sub-for-Santa drive ran for four weeks and collected a record-breaking $16,542 to help families in Riverton.
In an effort to put the money collected directly back into the Riverton community, part of the school’s gift to families included certificates to locally-owned Peterson’s Market. Adviser Wendy Petrvitch-Musig helped plan and coordinate this charitable drive. ★

The District Office will close at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 23, and remain closed through Dec. 27. District Office Hours for Dec. 28-30 will be 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. District Offices will be closed on Dec. 31 and Jan. 1, 2010, with all employees returning on Monday, Jan. 4, 2010. All schools will resume Monday, Jan. 4, 2010. ★
