The Larry H. Miller summer seminars for U.S. history teachers for 2010 have been announced. In addition to having all expenses covered, participating teachers also receive teaching materials and may receive Weber State University graduate credit.

  • Foundations of American History and Literature, June 10-16:  Participants will visit Boston, Concord, Lexington, Walden Pond and other sites associated with the American Revolution and transcendental period of literature.  Priority for this seminar will be specifically given to teams of U.S. history and English teachers.
  • Lewis and Clark, June 24-30:  Participants will follow the Lewis and Clark trail on land and river and understand the impact of the expedition.
  • Civil War:  The Eastern Theater, July 8-14:  Teachers will visit sites associated with the Civil War in the Washington D.C. and Virginia areas.
