October is Ribbon Month

October has been designated as Ribbon Month.   During this month schools are encouraged to promote drug free and violence free activities.  Red ribbons stand for drug free and purple for violence free.   Student Intervention Services has received a donation from a patron, which will enable us to provide wristbands for elementary students in the District to help promote these activities.   They will be sent to schools as soon as they arrive.   Please direct questions to Jeani Mulliner, 801-412-2953 or jeani.mulliner@jordan.k12.ut.us.

Star Fest Carnival at Kauri Sue Hamilton

The Kauri Sue Hamilton School recently held the inaugural Star Fest Carnival.  The event included games, snow cones, popcorn and cotton candy for parents, students and staff.  The school raised almost $2,000 through a silent auction and raffle. The support of staff, parents and many local businesses made this event a huge success. A special thanks to students from the Riverton High Peer Leadership Team who volunteered their time on a Saturday morning to make this day fun for everyone.
